About  ·  The house behind your book

A publishing house for authors who refuse to look self-published.

Since 2018, Barker Publishing House has helped authors turn finished manuscripts into books that look like they belong on a shelf, earn real reviews, and sell. This is who we are and how we work.

Our story

We started because good books kept losing to good-looking ones.

Barker Publishing House was founded in 2018 with one frustration in mind. Talented authors were pouring years into their manuscripts, then watching them sink because the cover looked cheap, the formatting was clumsy, or the editing was uneven. The writing was never the problem. The presentation was.

So we built a publishing house that handles the part of publishing that decides whether a book gets taken seriously. We keep it simple, we keep it fast, and we keep the prices in plain sight. You always know what you are paying, you always keep 100 percent of your rights and royalties, and you are always the only author on the cover.
