These Terms and Conditions govern your use of barkerpublishinghouse.com and the services provided by Barker Publishing LLC, operating as Barker Publishing House ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing a service or using this website, you agree to these terms.

Services

We provide book publishing services including editing, cover design, translation, formatting, marketing, and audiobook production, individually or in bundles. Service descriptions, inclusions, and prices are listed on our website and may be updated from time to time.

Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of order through our secure payment processor, Stripe. Per-word services are priced by the manuscript word count. We confirm your final word count when we receive your manuscript, and any difference from your estimate is adjusted before work begins. Bundle discounts are applied automatically at checkout.

Delivery

Standard delivery times begin once payment is received and you have submitted the required materials, such as your manuscript or brief. Typical timelines are 3 business days for editing and cover design, 7 days for formatting, 14 days for audiobooks, and 3 weeks for complete bundle packages. Timelines may vary for manuscripts over 90,000 words or complex projects, which are quoted separately.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing complete and final materials, including your manuscript, brief, and any specific instructions. Delays in providing materials will extend delivery timelines. You confirm that you own or have the rights to all content you submit.

Revisions

Reasonable revisions within the scope of the purchased service are included. Substantial changes that go beyond the original brief, or new material added after work has begun, may be quoted as additional work.

Confidentiality and your rights

Your manuscript and project details are kept confidential. You retain 100 percent of the rights and royalties to your work and to all deliverables we produce for you. You are, and remain, the sole author. We may showcase non-confidential, published results as portfolio examples only with your permission.

Refunds

Because our services are custom and delivered quickly, refunds are not available once work on your order has begun. If you believe there is an issue with a deliverable, contact us and we will work in good faith to make it right.

Intellectual property

Once your order is paid in full and delivered, ownership of the deliverables transfers to you. Our website content, branding, and templates remain our property.

Limitation of liability

We provide our services with professional care, but we do not guarantee specific sales, rankings, or commercial outcomes for any book. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
